BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS
“Not all readers are leaders. But all leaders are readers.” -Harry S. Truman
BUSINESS SUCCESS
✩ Shoe Dog by Phil Knight: Although this is an autobiography written by the creator of Nike, this is one of the best books about business I have ever read. It’s a must read for anyone who wants to be a successful entrepreneur or leader in business!
✩ Quit: The Power of Knowing When to Walk Away by Annie Duke: This book taught me something I had never considered: knowing when to quit is just as important to your success as the persistence and resilience that got you there.
EMOTIONAL MASTERY
✩ The Mindful Self-Compassion Workbook: A Proven Way to Accept Yourself, Build Inner Strength, and Thrive by Kristin Neff, Ph.D. and Christopher Germer, Ph.D.
✩ The Map of Consciousness Explained: A Proven Energy Scale to Actualize Your Ultimate Potential by David R. Hawkins, M.D./Ph.D.
FEMININE ENERGY
✩ Red Moon by Miranda Gray: I recommend this book to anyone who knows a woman. (That’s everyone!) This book explains the menstrual cycle is more than a biological process. It is sacred and holy. Learn the different phases of the menstrual cycle, the different gifts of each phase, and how to use them to better all of society.
MANIFESTATION
✩ Three Magic Words by Uell S. Anderson: This book is not an effortless process. You have to think and you have to have enough discipline to follow through daily. But if you get to the end, you’ll discover the most powerful secret in The Universe and how to use it.
✩ The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra: This little book is not actually about manifestation. It’s about the Seven Spiritual Laws you must use in order to manifest successfully.
PERSONAL FINANCE
✩ Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth by T. Harv Eker: This book changed my life forever. I know my financial success is a result of it and the in-person seminar it inspired. This book is something I regularly give as a gift to those I love.
✩ Unshakeable: Your Financial Freedom Playbook by Tony Robbins: This is from Tony’s financial freedom series.
PHYSICAL HEALTH + VITALITY
✩ Grain Brain: The Surprising Truth about Wheat, Carbs, and Sugar -- Your Brain's Silent Killers by David Perlmutter, M.D.: This book was an eye-opening, required reading for me in Naturopathy school when we were studying the brain. I now believe it should be a required reading for every high school in the U.S.
RELATIONSHIPS
✩ No More Assholes: Your Seven Step Guide to Saying Goodbye to Guys and Finding The Real Man You're Looking For by Chantal Heide: I discovered “Canada’s Dating Coach” on TikTok when she was dropping knowledge bombs about navigating dating and relationships in the modern world. Her unique approach to finding a man (instead of a “guy”) has been proven successful time and time again. Easy to read. Fun. 10/10 Recommend!
RELATIONSHIP ABUSE RECOVERY
TRIGGER WARNING: Several titles in this section explore themes of psychological manipulation and relational abuse. If you are engaging with these books for personal healing, please consider arranging additional support from a qualified trauma therapist. These books are powerful tools and healing is most successful when use with a trusted, therapeutic container.
✩ Psychopath Free: Recovering From Emotionally Abusive Relationships with Narcissists, Sociopaths, and Other Toxic People by Jackson MacKenzie: If you are questioning whether or not a relationship is emotionally abusive, or trying to make sense of what you have endured, this is a great place to start. MacKenzie offers an honest yet supportive framework for understanding emotionally abusive relationships. Accessible yet deeply validating, this book brings profound clarity to those starting to untangle the residue of toxic dynamics.
✩ The Emotionally Abusive Relationship: How to Stop Being Abused and How to Stop Abusing by Beverly Engel: This is a foundational text and I often recommended to my clients during my time as a trauma therapist. Engel teaches you an important piece of the recovery process: understanding exactly what emotional abuse is, why it starts, and how to put an end to it. The information applies to all relationships, not just romantic, and is focused on not only understanding but ending abuse in relationships.
SPIRITUALITY
✩ A Course In Miracles channeled by Helen Schucman (all levels): This book has been part of my morning routine for three years now. It has taught me everything I know about the ego, releasing fear, and returning to love. ACIM has helped me understand myself in ways I never knew possible.
✩ The White Book by Ramtha (advanced): This beautifully written book explores complex spiritual concepts and is definitely for someone who is pretty far down the rabbit hole. We’re talking Lemurians, Atlanteans, Oneness, and Yeshua. IYKYK.
✩ Spirit Junkie by Gabrielle Bernstein (introductory): This book is a great introduction to spirituality. It teaches foundational concepts of spirituality through easy-to-understand, relatable stories about Gabby’s recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction. This is the first book about spirituality that ever made sense to me.
